TV3 personality Lorraine Keane was on hand at Dublin's Gaiety Theatre with 6 month old Zayra Vawda to help launch the first national 'Light for Sight Weekend', with collections nationwide for Irish charity Fighting Blindness over the October Bank Holiday weekend. The Bank holiday weekend, October 25th - 27th, coincides with the clocks turning back, heralding the start of the dark nights. For many Fighting Blindness members, darkness is extending in their lives with the gradual loss of their sight. Fighting Blindness is calling on people to make a difference on 'Light for Sight Weekend' by donating to volunteer collectors throughout the country, to fund its research into cures for blindness.
