23/11/2017 Specsavers launches the Specsavers Book Swap as part of the Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards 2017. Well known Irish novelist and nominee in the Specsavers Popular Fiction Book of the Year category at this year’s Irish Book Awards, Patricia Scanlan, was on hand to help Specsavers launch its nationwide Specsavers Book Swap, with Irish model and renowned book worm, Michele McGrath, as part of the 12th annual Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards. In celebration of the opticians’ new sponsorship of the Popular Fiction Book of the Year category, Specsavers is running a book swap across its 52 stores nationwide, until Christmas. Specsavers is a champion of books and reading and this new initiative will allow customers to pass along well-loved books, in exchange for new ones. Across the country, Specsavers stores will have designated areas for customers to drop off unwanted books in return for another or even to just gift on to another avid book reader.
