22/04/2021 Broadcaster Ryan Tubridy was in People’s Park, Dun Laoghaire, today for the launch of the Go Purple national campaign to highlight the prevalence of domestic violence across Ireland, with Detective Superintendent Martin Creighton, Chief Supt Matt Nyland, Inspector John Dowling and Community Garda Marion Power from the Dun Laoghaire Gardai, as well as Nadine O’Brien, Saoirse Women's Refuge (left) and Men’s Aid CEO Kathrina Bentley (right). Go Purple takes place on Friday 23rd April asking people to wear purple, dye your hair purple, bake purple cakes and show your support for any one experiencing an abusive relationship.
