22/06/2022 The Gallery of Photography is now Irelands newest museum, Photo Museum Ireland. Pictured at the launch in Meeting House Square today is legendary photojournalist Tony O’Shea, with Lottie-Bow Hayden (age 2) and Alex Hayden McEntee (age 8) from Greystones. Currently located in Meeting House Square in Temple Bar, the organisation has over forty years of experience supporting Irish artists to reflect contemporary concerns. Its new National Photography Collection, broad-ranging, acclaimed programme of curated exhibitions, supports for artists' practices and innovative outreach programmes continue to break new ground for photography and foster a critical understanding of the medium, making it one of Ireland’s leading arts venues.
