09/05/2024 Dublin, Ireland. A team from Our Lady's School, Terenure were announced as one of four winning teams at this year’s Bank of Ireland Money Smarts Challenge Finals. The competition saw close to 1600 students from a total of 120 schools from all across Ireland compete in four virtual financial literacy challenges, with four overall winners and four runner up teams from around the country. Today, the team from Our Lady’s School Terenure, Matilda Murray, Ciara O’Loughran, Rachel Davis, and Kathryn King were presented with their prize by Leinster stars James Lowe and Ryan Baird, along with Leinster Mascot, Leo the Lion. The teams topped who their respective groups, received first prizes of €3,000 for each school. Winning teams from Ardgillan Community College, Balbriggan, Edmund Rice College, Carrigaline Co Cork and the Intermediate School, Kilorglin, Co Kerry were also presented with their prizes at their schools.The Money Smarts Challenge is part of Bank of Ireland’s free financial literacy programme for Second Level students.
